The Grange Care Centre

The Grange Care Centre provides nursing care for up to 160 adults across eight self-contained units, including support for people with physical disabilities, those living with dementia, and older adults with nursing needs. At the time of the CQC assessment, 145 people lived at the home. There was no registered manager in post, though a new manager had been recruited and a regional support manager was overseeing the service in the meantime.

Inspectors found most people and relatives were happy with the care provided, describing staff as kind and knowledgeable about people's needs. Care was well planned, with good links to external healthcare professionals and a range of social activities on offer. The CQC found effective staff training and support, sound quality monitoring systems, and evidence that lessons were learned when issues arose.

The service was rated Good overall.
