The Gables

The Gables provides personal and nursing care for up to three younger adults with learning disabilities, though only one person was living there at the time of inspection. Staff provide planned, person-centred support that respects residents' choices and promotes independence. People are involved in planning their own care, and their records reflect their personal needs and wishes. Residents feel safe with staff who understand how to protect them from abuse, and individual health and wellbeing risks have been identified with appropriate management plans in place. The service received positive comments about the quality of care provided. However, staff had not completed all of the mandatory training required by the provider.
