The Gables

The Gables provides personal care for up to 24 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 23 people were supported at the home. People felt safe, with care plans and risk assessments in place for all residents. Staff recruitment followed safe procedures and infection control practices were good. The registered manager was overseeing a redecoration programme for the home.

Staff did not receive regular supervision, though they felt supported by the management team. There were lengthy gaps between meal services. People's needs were assessed before admission, and systems were in place to regularly audit care plans. People, relatives and staff all reported feeling listened to by the management team.
