The Ridings Care Home

The Ridings Care Home is a purpose built nursing home supporting adults living with dementia, people with learning disabilities, autistic people and those with acquired brain injuries, across nursing and residential areas. Inspectors previously found five breaches of regulation, covering safety, consent, dignity, person-centred care and governance. This assessment found significant improvements, with no breaches remaining, and rated the service Good overall.

Inspectors found people were supported to manage risks safely, treated with dignity and respect, and that consent was properly sought. People and relatives spoke warmly of kind, responsive staff and enjoyable food, though views on activities were mixed, with some residents saying they became bored. People felt safe and knew how to raise concerns if needed.
