The Fountains Care Centre

The Fountains Care Centre provides nursing and personal care for up to 45 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 35 people were using the service.

Staff were recruited safely and trained in safeguarding procedures. The provider supported people to manage their health conditions and maintained appropriate records. However, advice from GPs or pharmacists wasn't always sought when people needed their medicines adjusted from their original prescriptions. Cleaning in residents' rooms and communal areas wasn't always effective, and improvements were needed to staff deployment to ensure people received consistent support.
