The Ferns

The Ferns is a care home providing accommodation and personal care for people with learning disabilities and autism. At this inspection, the service was rated as requires improvement in responsive and well-led areas. While there was evidence that people had benefitted from the support offered, the provider was not consistently following current best practice guidance in promoting independence and enabling people to live as ordinary a life as any other citizen. The strategy and delivery of support did not always align with expectations for services supporting people with learning disabilities and autism.
