About Raby Hall

Raby Hall is a residential care home in Wirral, providing accommodation and personal care for people with a learning disability and autistic people. Further details on the service can be found in the CQC findings below.

Raby Hall, in Wirral, provides accommodation and personal care for up to 25 people with a learning disability and autistic people, with 10 people living there at the time of assessment across individual or shared flats. The CQC rated the home good overall, an improvement from the previous requires improvement rating, which had included breaches relating to consent and safe care. Inspectors found care plans were person-centred, medicines were managed safely, and staff were caring, respectful and knew people well.

Some environmental improvements were still needed, with refurbishment work under way but incomplete, and further work was required to fully embed the Mental Capacity Act into practice. People and their families felt safe and said they could raise concerns with staff or the registered manager, who promoted an open, responsive culture.
