Raby Hall

Raby Hall provides residential care for people with autism across the main building and an annex called The Courtyard, accommodating 18 people in self-contained flats, shared group accommodation, and three-person flats. During inspection, inspectors found that risk management systems were not consistently effective, leaving some people exposed to potential harm. Decision-making processes on behalf of residents did not always follow proper procedures to ensure choices were in their best interests.

Support plans and reports sometimes lacked dignity and respect in their language and tone. Leadership inconsistencies meant the service did not always maintain high quality standards across all areas. However, inspectors noted that the registered managers were responsive and candid, with some improvements already being addressed during the inspection visit itself.
