The Cottage Christian Nursing and Residential Home

Residents were positive about the care and support they received. The service maintained robust governance with effective checks and audits to monitor care quality, and the registered manager promptly addressed areas for improvement. Risk management systems were in place to keep people safe, and medicines were managed through secure systems.

Staff numbers were adequate, with trained and competent personnel supporting residents. The service had effective infection control measures in place. Residents were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff adopting the least restrictive approaches possible. Policies and systems within the service supported this practice. Staff understood and monitored residents' health and nutritional needs appropriately.
