The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is a care home providing accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 41 people, primarily those with acquired brain injuries. Following an assessment prompted by rising concerns and an outdated rating, the CQC rated the service Good overall, though safety was rated as Requires Improvement due to gaps in health and safety servicing.

Inspectors found a large multi-disciplinary team delivering person-centred neurorehabilitation, with an open, kind culture among staff. Most people and relatives spoke positively about care, though not everyone felt fully involved in planning, and some staff felt stretched. Many shortfalls found had already been identified by the provider, with improvement plans underway.
