Kingsthorpe Grange

This nursing home provides personal and nursing care for up to 51 people, including those living with dementia and other mental health conditions. At inspection, 37 people were using the service. Staff treated residents and their relatives with kindness, and medicines were administered safely by trained staff. However, systems to monitor quality and safety had failed to identify significant concerns.

Inspectors found unlabelled clothing and underwear in the laundry room and wardrobes, with relatives reporting that residents' personal items frequently went missing. Care plans were in place but lacked personalisation and required further development. Staff did not consistently support people to make choices or use the least restrictive practices, and the service's policies did not adequately support these principles. The provider had not implemented effective systems to comply with regulations, and further improvements were needed to identify and mitigate risks to residents.
