The Conifers Healthcare Limited provides residential and nursing care for up to 30 older people, with 25 residents at the time of inspection. The home had implemented comprehensive COVID-19 safety measures, including screening all visitors for symptoms, rapid testing, and temperature checks conducted in a garden tent before entry. Visitors were required to wear personal protective equipment supplied by the service, and safe spaces with mobile screens enabled secure visits to take place.

The management team took a creative approach to maintaining contact between residents and their families during national lockdown restrictions, with visits permitted for people nearing the end of their life. Staff received appropriate training, support and guidance throughout the pandemic and wore personal protective equipment in line with government guidance.
