Stamford Care Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 90 older people, including some living with dementia. At the time of the assessment, 86 people were being supported. The CQC's review was prompted partly by concerns raised about staffing, cleanliness and governance, but inspectors found no breaches of regulations and rated the home Good overall.

People and relatives spoke positively about the care provided, feeling staff were skilled and attentive. Relatives said they felt informed and reassured, describing loved ones as safe, well looked after and happy. Where things went wrong, the provider was found to be open and acted to put matters right.
