The Chestnuts Care Home

This residential care home provides personal care to up to 41 people, with 36 residents at the time of inspection. Some people were living with dementia. Risks associated with people's care were identified and managed safely, with staff demonstrating strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and understanding what action to take if abuse was suspected. Accidents and incidents were monitored and evaluated to identify trends and patterns, with actions taken to mitigate risks.

The home maintained high standards of cleanliness and was well maintained, protecting people from the risk and spread of infection. The provider had identified concerns regarding medicine management and had begun taking action to address these issues prior to inspection.
