Medicines are administered safely by trained and competent staff, with procedures in place to investigate any errors. The home maintains adequate staffing levels with safe recruitment practices, and staff follow effective infection prevention and control procedures.

Staff are knowledgeable about risks associated with people's care and know how to minimise potential harm. People are protected from ill-treatment and abuse, as staff have received training to recognise signs of abuse and understand appropriate responses. The provider supports people to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible, and the management team has developed good links with local communities.
