Gorsefield Residential Home in Stoke-on-Trent is a residential care home supporting older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of assessment, 17 people were living there. Following an earlier inspection that found breaches around safe care and governance, the CQC carried out a focused follow-up and found the provider had made the necessary improvements and was no longer in breach.

Inspectors found people felt safe, well supported and involved in decisions about their care and home. Staffing levels were sufficient, medicines were managed properly, and the environment had been improved to support safe care. Staff understood their roles, felt supported, and management was described as visible, approachable and responsive to concerns.
