The Belfry Residential Home

The Belfry is a residential care home providing personal care to 11 people aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 12 residents. The service does not have robust systems in place to assess and monitor risks to people's safety and welfare. Care plans and risk assessments are not always up to date and fail to provide staff with clear guidance on how to support people safely in key areas including mobility, eating and drinking, and personal care.

Medicines are not always safely managed at the home, and the provider's medicines audits have failed to identify errors that were found during inspection. The service does not have adequate staffing levels in place to provide appropriate care to residents.
