The Grange

The Grange provides residential care and accommodation for up to 43 older people, including those living with dementia, across four units named Lily, Camelia, Poppy and Daisy. At inspection, 34 people were using the service. Staff understood safeguarding procedures and knew how to raise concerns to protect people from abuse and harm. Risk assessments were properly documented, and safe recruitment practices were in place. Medication management arrangements were suitable, and infection prevention and control measures protected residents.

The service supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches in residents' best interests. Safety risks to people's wellbeing were identified and recorded, and the home learned from incidents to make improvements when things went wrong.
