Swanland House

Swanland House provides personal and nursing care to up to 35 people, including those with dementia, older people, and younger adults. The privately owned service operated from a Grade II listed building and had 19 people using it at the time of inspection.

Inspectors found that people were not supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives. Staff did not consistently support people in the least restrictive way possible or in their best interests, and the service's policies and systems did not promote this practice. The leadership, governance, and culture did not support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
