Summerlands

Summerlands is a residential care home for up to 31 older people, with 28 residents at the time of inspection. The service demonstrates several good practices in care and safety. Residents participate in training on important topics like hand hygiene and infection control to enhance their safety. When external professionals couldn't visit, staff provided hairdressing and manicure services directly to residents. Detailed risk assessments have been completed for all visitors to address individual risks appropriately.

Staff have a dedicated changing room with uniforms laundered at work, supporting good hygiene practices across the service.
