Oakwood Court

Oakwood Court is a residential care home providing personal care to people living with dementia and age-related frailties. The CQC found the service was rated Good overall, with a dedicated management team fostering an open, inclusive culture. Since the last inspection, improvements had been made in managing risks, including emergency evacuation plans and support for people experiencing distress.

Inspectors found kind, well-trained staff who communicated effectively with residents and responded quickly to their needs. Medicines were generally managed safely, though recording of "as required" medication needed improvement. Relatives and professionals gave positive feedback about the caring atmosphere and staff approachability.
