Oakwood Court

Oakwood Court provides support to a maximum of 35 people, with 32 residents at the time of inspection. The service caters to older people who may be living with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, or dementia. Residents told inspectors they were very happy living at the service.

Inspectors identified some areas for improvement in record keeping and care planning. Quality assurance systems did not consistently pick up gaps in person-centred aspects of some care plans, and action points from weekly medicine audits had not always been followed up. One fluid chart did not demonstrate that a person consistently received enough to drink. Following the inspection, the provider submitted action plans detailing measures taken and planned to address the matters raised, with no breach of regulation identified.
