Pelham House Residential Care Home with Dementia

Pelham House provides accommodation and personal care for up to 30 people, including those with dementia and diabetes. At the time of inspection, 27 people were using the service.

However, inspectors found significant concerns with medicines management. The clinical room and cupboards where medicines were stored were left unlocked and unattended, creating a risk that people could consume medicines not prescribed to them. While some risk assessments were in place, they were not always thorough or detailed enough to properly guide staff in supporting people safely.
