Summerhill accommodates up to 29 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 25 people were using the service. However, inspectors identified several concerns. Care records were not always accurate, complete or detailed, and personal emergency evacuation plans lacked specificity and did not follow guidance. Risks to health and safety had not always been properly assessed and mitigated. Quality assurance systems failed to identify shortfalls in care records and were not effective in monitoring service improvements. The provider's Covid-19 policies were out of date, though infection prevention and control practices aligned with government guidance. Recruitment practices were found to be safe.
