Elpha Lodge Residential Care Home

Elpha Lodge Residential Care Home provides personal care for up to 24 people, specialising in support for people with physical disabilities. The CQC carried out a responsive assessment after concerns were raised about dietary care, and found no evidence that people's needs in this area were not being met. The service has improved significantly since its previous inspection, when it was rated requires improvement with several breaches, and is now rated Good overall.

Inspectors found people received safe, person-centred care from enough suitably recruited staff, with risks well managed and safeguarding systems in place. Some minor gaps around infection control and record-keeping were identified and addressed promptly. Families and residents spoke positively about kind, attentive staff and a management team they trusted.
