About Stretton Nursing Home
Stretton Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 50 older people with dementia. At inspection, 26 people were using the service. The home has effective safeguarding systems in place and sufficient experienced staff to meet residents' needs. Staff follow established infection control procedures, and incidents and accidents are monitored with lessons learned when issues arise.
However, medicine records and checks were not always sufficiently detailed or properly recorded, and risks were not always identified and mitigated effectively. These gaps in medication management represented areas requiring improvement to ensure resident safety.
