Broomy Hill Nursing Home

Broomy Hill Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 40 older people, including those living with dementia or mental health support needs. At inspection, 37 people were using the service. The registered manager and senior staff have made improvements to medication management and risk assessment, ensuring people receive the medicines they need and their safety is better protected. There is sufficient staffing with appropriately skilled staff, whose competency is regularly checked, and learning is taken from any incidents or errors.

Staff support people to maintain good skin health and work collaboratively with other health and social care providers to promptly meet people's health needs. The registered manager plans to implement centralised recording of repositioning and fluid intake to further promote residents' health outcomes.
