This residential care home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 14 adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities, or autistic spectrum disorder. At inspection, 12 people were using the service, which operates across two separate units with adapted facilities.

Inspectors found that risk assessments and care plans needed further development to provide staff with detailed guidance, as these had not been reviewed for all residents. Improvements were also required in infection control procedures to ensure people were adequately protected from infection spread. Medicine administration systems needed strengthening to guarantee people received their prescribed medicines safely. Additionally, numerous out-of-date food items were found in the kitchen, some opened foods lacked opening dates, and pre-cooked frozen meals had no freezing dates recorded. The first aid kit contained expired products including bandages and a burn shield that environmental audits had failed to identify.

Whilst the provider had strengthened governance systems and implemented internal audits to monitor quality and safety, these remained ineffective at consistently identifying areas needing improvement.
