Stoneleigh House

Stoneleigh House provides personal care to 22 people with learning disabilities. Inspectors found that people were not consistently offered choices, and their dignity and privacy were not always respected. Risks to residents were not always managed safely. While medication was handled safely and infection control procedures were effective, staffing levels were sometimes insufficient to support people's social activities. Staff knew how to safeguard residents from abuse, though not all received training before starting work. Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act among staff varied.

The home ensured people's dietary needs were met and provided access to healthcare services. Residents were supported by staff who knew them well, though their social needs were not consistently met. Systems were in place to handle complaints.
