Star Road Respite Service

Star Road Respite Service provides short break, temporary accommodation for adults with a learning disability and autistic people living in the London Borough of Hounslow. Up to seven people can stay at any one time, with over 40 people using the service across the assessment period. The CQC rated the service Good overall.

Inspectors found people were supported with kindness, choice and independence, and staff understood people's needs well, including their cultural and communication needs. Medicines and care planning were handled thoughtfully. Some improvements were needed around safety, and no breaches of regulations were identified, though recommendations were made and the registered manager took prompt action.
