This residential care home provides personal care to up to 23 older people, some living with dementia. The adapted building spans two floors with a passenger lift, communal areas for meals and activities, and was clean with no infection control concerns. Residents and relatives felt safe, with risks appropriately assessed and mitigated.

However, accidents and incidents were not always properly responded to, and lessons learned were not shared with staff to prevent recurrence. Medicines management raised safety concerns. The provider lacked full awareness of Mental Capacity Act responsibilities, and people were not consistently supported with maximum choice and control or in the least restrictive way. Despite these issues, people's needs had been assessed and individual care plans developed to meet them.
