St Catherines Care Home provides accommodation and nursing care for older people, some living with dementia, with 26 people using the service at the time of assessment. The CQC found the home had made progress since its last inspection and was no longer in breach of regulations covering safe care, safeguarding, nutrition, staffing and governance, though improvements needed to be fully embedded. Inspectors identified gaps in best interest decision records, staffing levels during unexpected absences and notifications to the CQC.

People living at the home spoke positively, feeling safe and well cared for, with praise for food, activities and a clean environment. Some mixed feedback was given about staff availability at times, and inspectors noted record keeping and risk management still needed strengthening.
