St Augustine's Care Home

St Augustine's Care Home provides accommodation and personal care to up to 52 people, with 42 residents at the time of inspection. The home is organised into four units, with Unit B specialising in dementia care. The service supports people with physical and mental health needs, older people, and those living with dementia. The home places a strong emphasis on Catholic teachings, with support from religious sisters at the adjoining convent and an on-site chapel available to residents.

Staff knew residents well and management ensured robust handovers and summary records were in place, enabling people to receive safe care. However, people's records were not always consistent, up to date, and detailed enough to provide staff with clear guidance on all individual needs and risks.
