St Anne's Nursing Home

This nursing home provides care to a maximum of 65 elderly people and those with physical care needs, some of whom live with long-term mental health difficulties. At the time of inspection, 53 people were resident at the home.

The provider had taken steps to address safeguarding matters that had not been reported to CQC earlier in 2021. However, internal monitoring processes had failed to identify these issues until whistleblowing concerns were reported to the local authority in October 2021, initially related to medicines concerns. The provider's monitoring processes had not effectively identified that the incident was notifiable to CQC, though changes to auditing processes had subsequently been made.
