Springfield Care Home

Springfield Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 65 people across two houses, supporting 47 people at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated the home requires improvement overall, down from good, after finding breaches relating to safe care and treatment and governance. Inspectors found weak oversight of incidents, medicines management and premises checks, and care plans that were not always updated to reflect people's needs.

Despite this, families gave overwhelmingly positive feedback, describing staff as kind, attentive and consistent. Relatives felt confident their family members were safe and involved in care planning. Staff spoke of an open culture and welcomed improvements introduced by a new manager.
