Emsworth House Care Home with Nursing

Emsworth House Care Home with Nursing provides nursing care for people with a range of needs. The CQC found the service had improved since its previous inspection, moving from requires improvement to good, with earlier breaches around safe care, staffing and governance now resolved. Medicines, safeguarding and infection control were managed well, and staff worked closely with other agencies to support people's health and wellbeing.

Inspectors found some environmental safety issues, which were addressed promptly, and noted that growth in the service and reliance on agency staff meant people did not always get as much time with staff as they would like. Some residents said they felt lonely despite staff being kind and attentive. Recruitment and wellbeing support were being expanded to address this.
