However, risks to people's health, safety and wellbeing had not always been properly assessed or managed. Short-term care plans for wounds lacked detailed guidance for staff on providing appropriate care. The home's medicines and safeguarding policies existed but were not consistently followed. Monitoring processes were not always effective in ensuring good quality care. Staff felt unsupported, with supervisions not taking place as planned. One staff member noted that management could be improved, though they believed residents were being looked after well. The service did support people to make choices about their care in the least restrictive way possible, with policies in place to uphold this practice.
