Southbourne Beach Care Home

Signature of Southbourne provides accommodation and personal care to up to 104 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 58 people were using the service.

People and their families described the care as safe. Staff had completed safeguarding training and understood how to recognise and report concerns about abuse or poor practice. Individual risks were assessed, monitored and reviewed, with staff taking appropriate action to minimise harm while respecting people's rights and freedoms. Recruitment processes ensured staff were suitable to work with older people, and staffing levels were responsive to changing needs. Medicines were managed safely.
