Skylark House

Skylark House provides personal and nursing care for up to 82 older people and younger people with disabilities, many of whom have dementia. At the time of inspection, 75 people were using the service.

Inspectors found that people were not receiving adequate social stimulation to support their well-being, which constituted a breach of regulation. People, their relatives, and staff consistently reported that staff were often too busy to spend meaningful time with residents outside of personal care tasks. The provider's quality monitoring systems had failed to identify this shortfall.
