Shandon House

Shandon House provides accommodation and personal care for people who need support with daily living, including those requiring help with independence and healthcare needs. Following a responsive inspection, the CQC rated the home Good overall. Inspectors found staff knew people well, treated them with warmth and dignity, and worked well with external professionals such as GPs and mental health teams.

Some shortfalls were found in leadership and record-keeping: care plans were not always up to date, daily notes lacked detail, and incidents were not consistently analysed to identify learning. Managers had begun addressing these issues, but improvements were not yet fully embedded. People and relatives said they felt safe, well cared for, and confident raising concerns.
