SENSE - 163 Newington Road

SENSE provides personal care to four residents in a homely setting. People expressed clear contentment with their lives there. When asked about living at the service, one person signed 'happy' while another beamed a big smile in response. Relatives were equally satisfied, with one family member noting that their relative had "really bloomed there" and were "happy there and can express themselves" while enjoying the atmosphere.

Staff supported residents to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible. People were actively encouraged to make day-to-day choices and develop their own goals and aspirations, with policies and systems in place to support these practices.
