Seacroft Court Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 50 people across two floors, with 32 people using the service at the time of inspection. However, inspectors found significant concerns with how the home managed people's care and safety. Risk management was poor, with inadequate support plans and assessments meaning people's needs were not properly identified or managed. This led to people experiencing increased periods of distress and the use of restrictive practices.

Staff failed to identify, record and report incidents appropriately, and the provider did not adequately monitor the quality of service. Inspectors identified indicators of a closed culture and punitive approaches by staff, with insufficient guidance on supporting people to lead inclusive and empowered lives. The home had delivered specialised training to staff, though this had not translated into effective safeguarding practices or quality care delivery.
