Sandbeck House Residential Home

Sandbeck House provides accommodation and care for up to 38 people, including older people and those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 21 people were resident. The home's new manager, in post for four months, has implemented systematic improvements with support from the registered manager, and staff are supportive of the changes being made. All five previous regulatory breaches have been addressed.

Staff demonstrate kindness and care, with good awareness of promoting residents' dignity, privacy and independence. People receive quality food and drink tailored to individual preferences, and the care planning system is effective. However, further improvements are needed to provide more stimulation and occupation for residents, and to ensure staff consistently apply their training and maintain person-centred approaches across all interactions.
