Sandwood Care Home

This nursing home accommodates up to 31 older people and people living with dementia who require nursing care, across three floors with lift access. At the time of inspection, 18 residents were living at the service.

The home had strengthened its systems for monitoring quality and safety, with robust and up-to-date audits and checks in place. A newly appointed experienced registered manager provided good support and leadership to the staff team, who were clear about their roles and responsibilities. The provider had developed a detailed action plan to drive forward improvements and had cultivated a more stable and positive workforce.
