Alexandra Lodge Care Home

Alexandra Lodge is a care home providing personal care to older people, people living with dementia and those with sensory impairment. At the time of the assessment it supported a very small number of people, falling to two by the second visit. The CQC rated the service Inadequate overall, and has taken action against the provider.

Inspectors found people and relatives felt safe and well cared for, with kind staff who knew them well. However, care plans lacked proper risk assessments, staff training was incomplete, and restrictions on people's lives were not always documented or authorised correctly. Leadership and management arrangements were found to be inadequate.
