Sandpiper Care Home

Sandpiper Care Home provides personal care for up to 30 people, with 21 residents living there at the time of inspection. The service had sufficient stocks of Personal Protective Equipment positioned throughout the building, including masks, visors, gloves, aprons and hand sanitiser. Staff were observed consistently wearing PPE in line with national guidance and had easy access to supplies at dedicated stations. The home had implemented a system for staff entering the building that minimised contact between staff and residents, with staff using a separate side entrance, changing clothing, and using handwashing facilities to maintain hygiene standards.
