Ashtree House

Ashtree House provides personal care for up to 27 people, some living with dementia. The home is spread across two floors with communal areas and some bedrooms on the ground floor, and additional bedrooms upstairs accessed by lift. At inspection, 26 people were using the service. Residents expressed high satisfaction with their care. One person said, "I am really pleased I am here, I couldn't wish for anything better," while a relative commented, "Staff are fabulous." Residents praised staff for their helpfulness, kindness and friendliness, and felt their privacy and dignity were respected.

The home provides safe care with effective safeguarding measures in place. Staff understood their responsibilities in protecting people from harm and abuse, and risks to health and safety were properly assessed with actions taken to reduce identified risks. Staffing levels were planned to ensure sufficient staff with appropriate skills and experience were available to meet individual needs. One person noted, "You never wait long for assistance." Medicines were managed safely, with people receiving their medications regularly as prescribed.
