Russell Churcher Court accommodates 44 people aged 65 and over, the majority of whom are living with dementia. The home provides personal care and accommodation to support residents' needs.

During a recent COVID-19 outbreak, the home demonstrated effective management by following guidance in residents' risk assessments and care plans to keep people safe. Staff ensured those who tested positive or displayed symptoms isolated in line with government guidance. The provider maintained a no visiting policy with exceptions for people nearing the end of their life, while regularly reviewing the policy to support safety. A visiting pod with screening was built to enable residents to receive visitors safely when visits could resume. People were supported to maintain contact with relatives through telephone calls and video links to support their wellbeing, and both residents and staff underwent regular COVID-19 testing in line with government guidance.
