Rushey Mead Manor Care and Nursing Home

This residential home provides personal care for up to 50 people, including those with dementia, physical disabilities, and end of life care needs. The service is multicultural, with staff speaking Asian languages as well as English. At inspection, 26 people were living at the home.

Staff were trained in safeguarding and understood their responsibility to protect people from abuse and harm. People felt safe and confident that staff would take action if concerns were raised, with safeguarding processes properly followed. Risks to people were assessed and regularly reviewed, with care plans tailored to each person and providing staff with guidance to minimise risk while promoting safety, dignity and independence.

People received prescribed medicines safely. The home provided a choice of food to encourage healthy, balanced diets, with individual food preferences, cultural and dietary requirements met to maintain good health.
