Asra House Residential Care Home

This residential care home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 42 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, all 42 places were occupied.

The service had implemented robust visiting procedures to reduce COVID-19 transmission risk. All visitors were required to show a negative COVID-19 test and have their temperature taken before entry, with professional visitors also providing vaccination passports. A COVID-19 risk assessment was completed for each visitor. Personal protective equipment was worn by all visitors and staff, with designated rooms established for safely putting on and removing PPE. Staff demonstrated adherence to best practice guidance when wearing protective equipment.
