Orchard Manor View

Orchard Manor View provides personal care and accommodation for up to 30 people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 19 residents were staying at the home, which is spread across ground and first floors with en-suite facilities in all rooms. The home includes communal spaces for relaxation and activities, plus a large dining room.

The home had implemented several positive practices during the inspection. Family visits were arranged in line with government guidelines, and residents were supported to maintain contact through video and telephone calls. Staff had been organised into dedicated teams assigned to zones, reducing the number of different staff residents encounter. The dining room had been arranged to enable safe socialisation. Personal protective equipment was readily available with appropriate donning and doffing areas, and staff wore PPE in line with current guidance. Both staff and residents continued to receive regular Covid-19 tests through the government's whole home testing scheme, allowing the provider to respond quickly to positive cases.
