About Royal Court Care Home

Royal Court Care Home is a residential care home in Barnsley, providing support for older people, including some living with dementia. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Royal Court Care Home is a residential care home providing support for older people, some living with dementia. At the time of the CQC's assessment, 25 people were living there. Following earlier enforcement action over safety, medicines and poor governance, inspectors found significant improvements had been made.

Risks and medicines were now safely managed, cleanliness had improved, and new leadership had created a more person-centred culture. People and relatives spoke positively about staff, food, activities and the environment, though some care records still needed strengthening, a recording issue the provider was already addressing.
